Lifeboat Hosted Its First Annual Luau and it Was a Huge Success!

Aloha! On August 21, 1959, Hawaii became the 50th state of the USA – which is why on August 21, 2018, Lifeboat hosted its first Summer Luau!

The Lifeboat Team was split up into 5 groups and met with each of today’s 4 vendors during 10-minute Speed Networking sessions. During that time, the vendors shared any product updates, best practices on how to overcome product issues, and more!

The Lifeboat office was decorated from head to toe in hopes of making it feel just like Hawaii (Okay, maybe it didn’t feel exactly like Hawaii, but we tried!) We listened to music, played a game of limbo, had a hula-hoop contest, and filled our bellies with pork fried rice, pineapples, fried plantains tuna poke and more! (Thanks Fins for the delicious lunch!)

We also had some big winners!

Congratulations Richard Slowik for winning Carbonite’s giveaway

Congratulations Dwight Mann for winning Infragistics’ giveaway

And a special congratulations to Valerie Alessi for winning our Grand Prize $500 travel voucher! We hope you go somewhere tropical, like Hawaii maybe?!

And we certainly cannot forget to give a big thank you to our special guest appearance, Maui, who resembled The Rock quite well!

We ended our Luau with a surprise visit from Kona Ice Truck. Kona completed the day with a Hawaiian themed truck and tropical music playing for everyone to hear. We got to choose from so many delicious flavors, and those who couldn’t choose just one mixed a few together!

Today’s event wouldn’t have been possible without our awesome vendors – As always, our partnership together is much appreciated! Thank you to Carbonite, Corel, DataCore and Infragistics – you are all awesome!

We look forward to Lifeboat’s Luau becoming an annual event!
